5 minutes solutions for your slow computer- Worknrby

In an era of speed and fast performance, having a slow system is another level of nightmare. A slow system leads to slow performance and weak outputs. Sometimes it may take you 15 minutes or so to transfer a simple file worth of 4 MB.

None among us can afford to spend time on a simple transfer of files. Or buying a product which turns into a massive brand of weak and slow performance is not something our pockets can let us go for. Yet we find ourselves surrounded with time eating programs. Which makes it evident to interpret that the problem is internal.

As a result of which without giving a thought, we purchase Anti Virus. And to our surprise, we find ourselves in the same situation after a particular period. All this is a derivation of our misunderstanding of Antivirus as a booster. Always remember that Antivirus is supposed to protect the system and not boost up its performance.

And to boost up there are certain remedies which can help the system with lost speed and efficiency.

1. Reboot:

This is the easiest way to regain speed and efficiency. Follow the steps below for rebooting your system:

Open windows > Click on the right arrow at the end of shut down button > Click on Restart

Further troubleshooting can be done by holding on to the F8 key while the restart is being done.

2. Wipe out the unnecessary:

This has two parts:

a. Startup programs:

W8 and 10 Ctrl + shift + escape > start up tab >

Before W7 “run > msconfig > startup tab > right click > click on Disable”

b. Startup services:

Go to RUN > Type Srvices.msc > Right click on services you want to put off > Go to properties > Status type > Change it from Automatic to Manual

3. Uninstall junk:

Go through the installed programs on your system and see if there is something which is not being used and will not be used ever. Select such programs and go for a permanent delete option.

And make sure you don’t install something unnecessary in the future.

4. Disable the window animation:

Go to Control panel > All the control panel items > Ease of access > Make the computer easier to see > Make things on-screen easier to see > Click on Turn off all unnecessary animations (when possible) > Apply

  • If you want to select the animations on your own then follow the procedure below:

Go to control panel > Click on System > Go to Advanced System Settings > Performance settings > Go through the animation list and disable the tick on these options by click on the box > Apply

5. Go for a Memory check:

Memory check is an easy way to detect the problems. Follow the steps below:

Start > Run > Windows memory diagnostic > Click on it > Go for Check problems the next time I start my computer

6. Reformat and Reinstall:

If despite all the solutions present in the market, your system is failing to cope up then better go with this option and start everything from scratch.

Do not go for it until its an extreme case. Make sure you have applied enough of options to fasten up the processing and if they didn’t come through only then imply this option.
